LISA is a space mission designed to measure gravitational radiation over a broad band at low frequencies, from about 0.1 mHz to 100 mHz, a band where the Universe is richly populated by strong sources of gravitational waves. It measures signals from a wide range of different sources that are of strong interest to the astrophysics of black hole and galaxy formation, and also to tests of general relativity and to cosmology.
(evolved Laser Interferometer Space Antenna / New Gravitational Wave Observatory). More information about eLISA/NGO can be foundIn the Gravity Reference Sensor (GRS) subsystem development, AEIL was responsible for the following tasks:
[1] GRS Front-End Electronics (FEE) requirements document
[2] GRS FEE verification and test method development for the GRS FEE demonstrator and breadboard
[3] Reference unit (ultra stable centralized FEE voltage reference with 1ppm/sqHz amplitude stability at 0.1mHz) design, manufacturing and test in the GRS FEE demonstrator and breadboard
[4] Test equipment design - new Test Mass (TM) simulator (6fF simulator to 120fF adjustable differential capacitance) design, manufacturing and test
